Biodialogue: it actually happens !!!

Unless you just ran a marathon or climbed Mount Everest, there is simply no way that the body can successfully handle the junk food we gobble - the samosa, bread pakoda, doughnut etc that munch in the hospital canteen. The vast majority of all this is sugar, fats and refined starch.

When this flood of glucose hits the bloodstream, alarms go off in the liver and pancreas. At the genome level a metabolic "switchboard" lights up. The *biodialogue* goes like this:

Liver to pancreas: Glucose levels are skyrocketing! What’s your plan?

Pancreas: I’m exhausted from handling the aloo paratha from breakfast. And that super sweet milky masala chai and egg at 9:00. You’ve got to take this load.

Liver: I’ve got no room. [hits panic button. Sirens going off]

Genome: Come on liver, convert the glucose to glycogen.

Liver: I’m bursting with glycogen. Let me call the muscles. See if they need any energy.

Muscles: zzzzzzz what? Energy? No we have no need for energy. We haven’t moved much in weeks.

Genome: Well, Liver. What’s your plan?

Liver: I’ll convert the glucose to triglycerides and stash it in the bloodstream.

Bloodstream: No howlin way! Blood is so thick already, circulation through capillary beds is down to critical levels. We’ve got billions of starving and suffocating cells in the toes, eyes, brain and kidneys.

Genome: That can only mean one thing, Liver, you know what to do.

Liver: Okay! It’ll take a few hours, but I can send these triglycerides to adipose tissue. Let me see …. belly, butt, thighs … back of the arms, a little under the chin. That’ll have to do.

And that's how our clothes do not fit now!!!

Good one. As  we see some such food first it starts with an argument between the tongue and brain. Brain says " don't touch it, you already have enough of it in your system, instead take fresh fruits and vegetables". Tongue " I cannot resist the temptation, please keep quiet"
Health is at our disposal 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Great work ARPA Team

Source:

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths of Jorhat district in Assam arrested the senior drug inspector of the district on July 13 from his office while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs.20,000 from a private medical store pharmacist.

The complainant, Dipok Kakoty, a member of the Jorhat district committee of the Assam Registered Pharmacist Association (ARPA) had earlier lodged a complaint with the district vigilance office against the drug inspector, Jugal Baruah, who is now under vigilance custody.

It is alleged that the drug inspector had asked for a sum of Rs.20,000 from the pharmacist in return of his service to his medical store. The pharmacist discussed the issue with his association which directed him to lodge a complaint with the vigilance cell. Kakoty is also an office-bearer of the Jorhat district committee of the ARPA.

A senior member of ARPA from Jorhat district told Pharmabiz that the arrested drug inspector has been pestering the pharmacists by asking bribes and several cases were filed against him previously with the drugs control department.

Sofiur Rehmankhan, president of ARPA said the major reason for mushrooming growth of illegal pharmacies and fake pharmacists in Assam is due to this kind of malpractices committed by enforcement officials like Jugal Baruah. The association has praised the district vigilance cell of Jorhat and the district committee of the ARPA for the initiatives taken for bringing the corrupt enforcement officer before the law.

PHARMACY COUNCILS IN INDIA

PHARMACY COUNCILS IN INDIA

The profession of pharmacy is only a talk on our lips and is found no where to see and feel.

Hence, I appeal to all Right thinking pharmacists and who believe in true professionalism  right from Academe to field practice and service to please participate both in State and Central Council elections and nomination process to get elected or nominated.

Once you get in there it is possible to bring in reforms to initiate an era of professional pharmacy service.

At least ensure DeadWoods and corrupts don't get elected or nominated.+
